According to the Fundamental Law which entered into force on 1 January 2012, the name of our country is Hungary. Accordingly the public documents issued by the state will bear designation Hungary instead of Republic of Hungary.

From 1 January 2012, rules regarding sole proprietorships have changed. Private entrepreneurs may take up only effectively exercised scopes of activities and the official control of private entrepreneurs' activities becomes more stringent as well.

From 1 January 2012, a new passport administration procedure has entered into force. Accordingly, it is possible for customers to apply for passports within 7, 3 days or even within 24 hours in addition to the current 30-day administration time.

The expiration date of the customer gate login passwords has been amended by a Government Decree, so nearly 300 thousand users, who failed to amend the expiration date of their login passwords before 1 January 2012 can still access to their own customer gate even after 1 January 2012.

From 1 January 2012 the vehicles’ mileage data and the date of fixing of mileage recorder stand will be included in the vehicle register as well.

It is possible to pay the administration service fee by credit card if the client goes in person to any Document Offices
. Administration is much faster and comfortable compared to the payment by “yellow” postal order. As further advantage payment by credit card in a Document Office
is not considered as cash drawing, no transaction costs will be charged.

A three-member delegation of COAEPS travelled to Moldova in order to share further experiences and to improve the cooperation started earlier by the visit of the Moldavian party to Budapest through getting acquainted with the Moldovan registration system.
